Testing EP Editor

EP Editor: Edit Your Pages Visually (Alpha)

This is an early alpha build. It works, but it’s rough around the edges. I’m sharing it now because I need your feedback to make it better. If something goes wrong, your content is safe. You can always fix it by editing the page again, or through Admin > Content.

### What is it?

EP Editor lets you edit your page text right on your live site. No admin panel. No HTML. You see your actual page, you click on the text, and you type.

It only works on the main text area of your pages, the same content you’d normally edit through Admin > Content. It does not edit your header, footer, or sidebar.

#### How to install

  1. Download the plugin: EP Editor Downloadupdates.elmspark.com/
  2. Go to Admin > Manage Plugins
  3. Upload the ZIP file
  4. Activate EP Editor

#### How to turn it on

  1. Click EP Editor in the EP Suite navigation bar
  2. Tick “Enable the visual editor on the frontend for admins”
  3. Click Save

#### How to use it

  1. Make sure you are logged in as an Administrator
  2. Visit any page on your site (not the admin area, your actual site)
  3. Look for the dark “Edit Page” button in the bottom-right corner of your screen
  4. Click it
  5. The editable text on your page gets a subtle outline. Click anywhere inside it and start typing.
  6. Select text to see the formatting toolbar (Bold, Italic, Link, H2, H3, Paragraph)
  7. When you’re done, click Save in the bar at the bottom
  8. The page reloads with your changes saved

#### Keyboard shortcuts

  • Cmd+B on Mac, Ctrl+B on Windows for bold
  • Cmd+I on Mac, Ctrl+I on Windows for italic
  • Cmd+K on Mac, Ctrl+K on Windows to add a link
  • Cmd+Z on Mac, Ctrl+Z on Windows to undo
  • Cmd+Shift+Z on Mac, Ctrl+Shift+Z on Windows to redo

#### What it can edit

  • The main text on your pages (headings, paragraphs, bold, italic, links)
  • Pages with a mix of text and forms/widgets. The text parts are editable. Forms, booking widgets, share buttons, and other plugin features are greyed out and locked so you can’t accidentally break them.

#### What it can’t edit yet

  • Pages that only contain a form or widget (like a booking page or contact page) will show “Nothing editable on this page”
  • Theme elements like your header, footer, sidebar, or HTML Boxes (coming in a future version)
  • Mobile devices (desktop only for now)

#### What I need from you

Try it on a few different pages on your site and tell me:

  • Which page did you test on? (paste the URL if you can)
  • Did the “Edit Page” button appear in the bottom-right?
  • Could you click on text and edit it?
  • Did Save work? Did the page reload with your changes?
  • Did you see any greyed-out locked sections? Did they make sense?
  • Did anything look wrong or unexpected?

Even “I tested my About page and everything worked” is helpful. And if something broke, tell me exactly what happened. Screenshots are gold.

#### Requirements

  • PageMotor 0.7.2b
  • You must be logged in as an Administrator
  • Desktop browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge)
